Is there a sayit app for iPhone yet?

Not published yet — it's built and in the final stages before App Store review, with a waitlist for the one email you'll get when it's actually live.

Not yet — sayit for iPhone doesn't have a public release date, and it isn't on the App Store yet. It's built and in the final stages before App Store review, with a waitlist you can join to get exactly one email the day a real download link exists. Until then, the web app is the full product and already runs in a phone's browser, with everything you record there carrying straight over once the iPhone app does arrive.

30-second version: There's no announced launch date. Joining the waitlist gets you one confirmation email now and one email at launch — nothing else, and every email has an unsubscribe link. It's the same engine as the web app, not a stripped-down mobile version, so a take scored on the phone and one scored in a browser come back identical. There's no Android app either; the web app in a mobile browser is the honest recommendation there.

Why doesn't sayit just announce a launch date?

Because an invented date is worse than no date — it sets an expectation the team can't guarantee, and walking it back afterward costs more trust than never giving one in the first place. What's true right now is that the app is built and in the final stages before App Store review, which is a real, specific state, even without a calendar date attached to it.

What will the iPhone app actually be like, once it ships?

The same product the web app already is, rebuilt for a phone: a dictaphone-style recorder with big keys and a real clock, the daily dare, a home-screen widget showing your streak and last score, and — described on the Picture-in-Picture dictaphone page — the ability to keep recording while you use another app. It uses the same account as the web app, so nothing you've already built up needs to be recreated.

Will it work offline, since recording happens on the phone?

No — recording itself is local to the phone, but the actual analysis runs on sayit's servers, so scoring a take needs a connection either way, exactly like the web app does. That's consistent across every surface sayit ships on; there's no offline-scoring mode anywhere in the product.

Will it cost anything to download?

There's a free tier, the same one the web app has, and the App Store will show the price of any paid plan before you buy anything — nothing hidden behind the download itself. Current plans and prices are on the pricing page.

Do I have to wait for the app to start practicing on my phone?

No — the web app already runs fully in a phone's browser today, and it's the complete product, not a limited preview of what the native app will eventually be. Anything you record now stays on your account and will simply be there once the iPhone app exists.

What about Android?

Not currently in development. The web app in a mobile browser works today on Android the same way it does on iPhone, and that's the honest recommendation until a dedicated Android app exists.
