Listens to a recording of your voice and scores every word for clarity, measures pace, pauses and filler words, and puts your IPA next to the target IPA for any sound that slipped. When you answer in your own words it also reads the English back: grammar corrections quoted from what you said, how wide your vocabulary ran, the words you leaned on and stronger ones to reach for. Written English is graded separately, in the writing room. Same depth whether you’re a guest or a paying member.What it doesn't do
It isn’t a human tutor, and it won’t mark the grammar of a passage we handed you to read aloud — those are the author’s words, not yours, so it scores the delivery and says nothing about the writing. Conversation practice runs guided roleplay scenes with suggested lines; it isn’t an open-ended chatbot that improvises replies.How it works

Is it a real tutor?
It's an AI that listens and scores your pronunciation and fluency — real feedback, but not a human. When you answer in your own words it also reads the English back: grammar corrections quoted from what you said, your vocabulary range, and the words worth upgrading. It won't mark the grammar of a passage you were given to read aloud (those aren't your words), and Conversation runs scripted roleplay scenes, not open-ended chat.
Does it work with my accent?
Yes. sayit is accent-tolerant: it flags the sound contrasts that change meaning, not the accent itself. See the accent guides for first-language-specific detail.
Which devices does it work on?
A browser on desktop or mobile, a native iPhone app, and a Chrome/Edge extension. There's no Android app yet.
