What band 5.0 sounds like
- Fluency and coherence
- Answers start, stop and restart. You reach for a word mid-clause and the sentence waits for it, so pauses land inside phrases rather than between them. The same two or three connectors carry every answer, and a long question often produces a short one.
- Pronunciation
- Individual sounds slip often enough that a listener reconstructs a word or two in most answers — usually word endings that vanish under speed, and the vowel pairs your first language treats as one sound. Word stress lands on the wrong syllable often enough to be noticeable.

Fluent, precise and easy. Hesitation appears only when the idea is genuinely hard, and the accent no longer affects clarity at all.

Complete command. The question of clarity does not arise, and the speaker uses the language as flexibly as a well-educated first-language speaker.
